FANZA would already be banning real animals in hentai

the hentai author Fujiyama Takashi (フジヤマタカシ) posted an update on Twitter with a peculiar warning issued by the Japanese digital platform FANZA, a site where you can buy many items, but especially adult manga. This warning, which Takashi assures that he made him laugh too much, is centered on the “bestiality“, a genre of hentai manga focused on bestiality. Apparently FANZA is asking that real animals not be used, or that they be turned into fantastical animals:

«I’ve heard that the FANZA adult rulebook asks writers to “don’t do anything involving real animals, so if it’s a horse, please grow wings and be a pegasus.” I laughed out loud» the author wrote.

Yuigi Sekidō (関戸ゆいぎ)also an author of works for adults, came across Takashi’s publication and took the opportunity to leave his own comments on the peculiar new norm: «The rule is quite interesting, right? On one occasion I had to delete my work because they told me that “a giant snake was not approved”. But when I asked them if “a giant centipede” was fine, they told me that there was no problem since “giant insects do not exist”. By the way, I have been told that the issue of “giant octopuses” is still under discussion».
